PotoSales 0.4.3 · Buying guide

From your free trial to paid credits.

Choose a plan in your WooCommerce dashboard, pay through Freemius, and check the result in PotoSales.

Checked against the official 0.4.3 release on 19 October 2026. This is a written walkthrough, not a recording of a payment.

Two different payments. Buying PotoSales pays for document-processing credits for your website. It does not collect payment from your customer or mark a WooCommerce order as paid. Orders created from reviewed purchase orders remain pending payment.

Before installing · Buying steps · Payment results · Trial credits · Switch or cancel

1. Check your store and try a purchase order.

Install PotoSales Order Entry for WooCommerce from WordPress.org. You need WordPress 6.6 or later, WooCommerce 9.0 or later, PHP 8.1 or later, MySQL or MariaDB with InnoDB, and the PHP sodium and OpenSSL extensions.

Your website must be reachable from the internet over HTTPS for activation. A localhost or private test site cannot activate the trial; WordPress Playground and SQLite are not supported. For an evaluation, use a suitable public HTTPS test store with fictional data.

As an administrator, open WooCommerce → PotoSales Order Entry, review the trial terms and privacy notice, tick the consent box and select Get started. No service address or API key is needed.

The current trial is 20 processed purchase orders within 14 days, up to 5 new uploads per day, per website. Check the allowance shown before activation. Successful extraction consumes a credit; failed or rejected documents release their reserved credit. The trial does not automatically become a paid subscription.

Watch the existing 0.3.3 order-entry video and try the same fictional sample, or follow the first-order guide. Review representative documents before deciding to buy. Documents are processed by the hosted service and its AI provider; read the privacy notice.

2. Choose what this website needs.

  1. As an administrator, open Plans and help in the plugin. Check the website and its current balance. Credits belong to this website and are shared by its staff, not across separate stores.
  2. Select Subscribe for a monthly plan, Buy top-up for a one-time purchase, or Switch to this plan if changing an existing subscription. Review the current price, credit allowance and expiry shown in the plugin. See the pricing page for the published plans.
  3. Review renewal and refund terms. A monthly plan renews automatically until cancelled. A top-up does not renew automatically and does not change an existing subscription. Either purchase ends any unused trial credits.
  4. Enter the Payment email (receipts are sent here) and choose Continue to payment. Freemius, the merchant of record, opens its checkout over the plugin page. Review the final total and any applicable taxes before paying. Card details do not pass through the plugin or the PotoSales service.
  5. After completing checkout and closing its success screen, check the payment result in PotoSales. Keep the page open while confirmation is running.
If online purchase is paused or no paid plans are offered, purchase buttons may be unavailable. Follow the message in Plans and help or contact support. An existing subscription can still be viewed and its renewal cancelled.

3. Understand the payment result.

These are the English result labels in 0.4.3. They describe alternative outcomes; they are not screenshots or evidence of a completed transaction.

What you seeWhat it means and what to do
ProcessingYour payment has been submitted and PotoSales is checking it. Keep the page open. The plugin checks about every three seconds for up to one minute. This is a confirmation window, not a guaranteed credit-delivery time.
Payment successfulPotoSales has confirmed the purchase and added its credits to this website. The result shows the number added. The available balance and Purchase history refresh separately, so the success message need not wait for them.
This is taking longer than expectedConfirmation has not completed within the window. This does not establish that the payment failed. Refresh the page after five minutes and check the balance and Purchase history. Do not pay again for the same purchase. If credits still do not appear, contact support with the receipt or transaction reference and website address. Do not send card details.

Closing the checkout alone is not proof that credits have been added. Check the PotoSales result and purchase record. The one-minute wait also ends if a confirmation request stalls.

4. Know what happens to your trial credits.

After purchase, any unused trial credits will no longer be available. This applies to both a monthly plan and a top-up. Finish evaluating the service before purchasing if you want to use your remaining trial allowance.

For example, if an otherwise unused website has 8 trial credits left and buys a 100-credit plan, its trial balance does not become a 108-credit paid allowance. This is a credit-rule illustration, not a recorded payment; other valid allowances and usage can affect the balance shown in your store.

If the trial simply expires or runs out, new cloud extraction pauses unless another valid allowance is available. Already extracted purchase orders can still be reviewed, edited and turned into WooCommerce orders. Existing WooCommerce orders are kept.

5. Manage renewal, switching and refunds.

  • Cancel renewal: use Plans and help and confirm the cancellation. Future automatic renewal stops; already-paid credits remain usable until expiry. Cancellation is not a refund.
  • Switch plans: the new plan starts at full price immediately and renews monthly. The old plan stops renewing. Its unused paid credits move to the new plan and expire with it; there is no prorated refund or price-difference adjustment.
  • Top-ups: a one-time purchase, with no automatic renewal. The currently published Top-up 100 contains 100 credits valid for 12 months. Check the displayed terms before purchase.
  • Refunds: please try the service first. You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase if you have not downloaded, used or accessed the paid service. Requests after use are reviewed individually through support. Read the purchase and refund terms.

Try it first. Buy when it fits.

Review one complete order in your own store, then check your allowance and terms.
